Having a teacher cadet this semester enriched my teaching
experience. My cadet asked meaningful questions and was eager to learn about
what teachers do in and out of the classroom. Her inquiry made me reflect on my
own practices, and her presence helped me be a better teacher. She was also
very useful to have as an assistant who graded, entered grades, designed
bulletin boards, and even filed. Most valuable, however, was her help with
individual and small groups of kids. What a great program!
